As a child, Tracy developed a tremendous empathy for animals – both wild and domestic. She grew up with cats, dogs and guinea pigs. She has fostered baby squirrels, stray cats and even an orphan baby skunk. She has stopped to pick up cats huddled at the side of the road; a chicken on the Eastern Townships autoroute; a Rhodesian Ridgeback that fell through the ice on a pond; a bunny that was dumped in the underground parking lot at the Montreal Airport and more.
For decades, she has volunteered & worked at numerous vet clinics. She worked at the low cost spay/neuter clinic and has been involved in pet therapy at various hospitals and schools. She worked at the Ecomuseum as a Docent and tour guide. She has worked with Le Nichoir for decades supporting care and rehab of wild birds.
Tracy, and her dog Lexi, are original members of the Pet Squad at the Montreal Airport. You can find them walking through the airport departure gates bringing smiles and easing the stress of passengers and employees alike!
Tracy’s favourite activities are in the outdoors surrounded by Wild Things! Her love of the outdoors set her on a path where she spent over 30 years as a College Phys Ed/Outdoor Ed teacher. She taught her students about identifying, tracking and protecting flora and fauna. She has always embraced integrative medicine for herself and her animals. She has successfully explored acupuncture, osteopathy, herbalism, home cooked food and cannabis. She has worked at TVC since it opened and is happy to share her experience and passion with the TVC Team.
